Join us on the beautiful Warren Wilson College campus trails as we run a series of races on Thursday evenings in the month of June!
Age group winners will be awarded medals at each individual race. Overall series winners will be awarded according to cumulative efforts at all 4 races! You may choose to register for 1 or more of the races individually, or register for the entire series!
Inaugural Event!
Join us every Thursday evening in the month of June for the inaugural Warren Wilson College Firefly Run Series!
You'll begin on South Lane (farm access road), loop around the farm, head uphill on pine needle-covered trails and around a clearing, and head toward the Swannanoa River on shade-covered switchbacks. Making your way along the river trail, you'll ascend through the garden to the finish. The course is 5k of pure cross country running - on a series of dirt trails, gravel, grass, and a bit of asphalt.

5:00 PM - Bib pickup
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM - Late Registration
6:25 AM - National Anthem
6:30 PM - 5k Race Start
7:15 PM - Awards

$30/single race
$100/entire 4 race series
Registration Includes:
Athletic dry-fit style T-Shirt with registration on or before 5/22/24

Overall Race Series Winners:
To be eligible, a runner must successfully complete 75% of the races (3 races).
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st place: 10 points
2nd place: 8 points
3rd place: 6 points
4th place: 5 points
5th place: 4 points
6th place: 3 points
7th place: 2 points
8th place: 1 point
Cumulative point tallies will decide the series winners in each age group.
ALL PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE A COMMEMORATIVE COWBELL MEDALLION!
Parking
Parking will be available in the Chapel lot, at DeVries Athletic Center, behind Kittredge Hall, and in various other locations around campus.
Other Details
This is a foot race - bicycles will not be allowed other than those used by race personnel. Runners, hikers, and walkers are all welcome, but strollers may have difficulty navigating the hill section and some trail terrain. Leashed dogs are welcome on our course!
